How to
play recorded speech (Windows
XP)

Playing record speech in
classroom:
|
|
|
Here you are able to setup your
soundcard for playing Reord in our
class room. Make sure you have
your sound working in Class room,
before you start to setup to play
record in room. Go here to to
check your sound setting.
1.) Move your mouse down to your
taskbar where you see your clock
on the bottom right hand side.

If you can not see the Speaker
Icon go to here >> ( Start >
Setting >Controlpanel> Sound and
Audio Devices properties)
2.) When you find the speaker
icon. Then right click with your
mouse button. You will see Adjust
Audio Properties. Click on Adjust
Audio Properties.

3.)
Now click on the Audio tab. It will
look like the image below. |

|
4.) We are focusing
on the red rectangle area. Click
on the volume.
|
|
|
 |
|
|
5.) Sound recording
will come up.
|
|
|

OR
6.)
Make sure you Select, What U Hear
or Stereo Mix. If you cannot see
your What U Hear or Stereo Mix in
your record control then you will
need to add it.

|
|
7) Click on Options, then click on
Properties to bring up the record
control.
|
|
|
 |
|
|
8)
When Properties comes up make sure
you have a green check in What U
Hear or Stereo Mix. You will see it
shown in Volume controls. If you see
a tick in all of them you are all
set. Now, click OK. It will go back
to the
record control where you must have
What U Hear or Stereo Mix on Select. |

9) If
you are using Creative sound card,
you should see your What U Hear or
Stereo Mix in recording control,
Make sure you have it Selected. This
will let you play record in our
class room . You will have to
RE-SELECT the microphone in order to
use the mic to speak class room.
Close record control.
You must do these steps:

Let's go back to Sounds and Audio
Devices Properties. You should still
have it open (if not go back to step
2
and re-open Sounds and Audio Devices
Properties )
Click on the volume on the Sound
playback. Then the playback control
will come up. |

11) If you see the microphone is
on muted, UN-MUTE the microphone.
Caution: donig this can cause
feedback (squealing) from your
speakers.

|
|
Also - When you speak on mic,
Microphone (mic) should be selected
on recording control - when you want
to play, move the check mark from
microphone to wave/stero mix in
recording control. |
